Education: what it can do; Life: what it expects from the world?

Education in one of the literal senses attributed to it means an instructive or enlightening experience. A straight look at education from the eyes of a rational and reasonable person brings out widening of the outlook as the simple and direct impact/result of education.

Life is colorful. It is virtuous. It has variety and it expresses itself in innumerable ways. Every individual is an expression of life. And every individual is here to add the colors of life to this world. If encouraged to flourish, that expression of life can elevate this world by its virtues. What is needed is just a nudge towards a fuller and sustaining living.

Education is the way. It lets the life come out of the cocoon of ignorance and experience the beauty of vast and colorful world. It can connect life to itself. Nothing can match what education can do. It can open the doors for life to its spontaneity and colorfulness. It can elevate the expression of life i.e. individual.

The very first essential for sustained life is livelihood i.e. resources needed for living. In today's world, earning livelihood has become competitive to such an extent as it never has been. One can live only if he knows the world around him well. Ignorance has little place for it in this pro-progress and pro-material world. Those times are gone when someone could sustain on pity of others. Today, people are too concerned with themselves that their is no time or space in mind or scope in expends even for the genuine needy, exceptions saved from the blame.

Education can go a long way in helping the children become self-sufficient as also aware of what is happening around them. Besides imparting training for earning livelihood, broadening the outlook is something which is more profound than all those things that education can do to an individual.

Let us pledge to ensure that every child around us gets to school and receive the elementary education which will open the infinite opportunities that this world can offer to him and also prepare him\her to express to the world what life has whispered to his soul. Let us hold hands together so that life can be encouraged to flourish and protected from getting perished.
